Do you want to complete your higher studies in Sweden? If you have ambition, leadership and professional experience, you can apply to study a ’s degree under the Swedish Institute scholarship.

Find out if you can apply for one of the 600 scholarships available to study starting in the fall semester of 2021.

The scholarship is available to professionals from 42 countries:

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Brazil, Cameroon, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, , Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, , Malawi, Morocco, , Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

About the scholarship:

Swedish Institute Scholarships is provide about 600 Scholarships for Global Professionals Masters (SISGP), starts in fall semester 2021, full-time.

  • 1. The first step is to study in a master’s program between the period 16 October 2020 to 15 January 2021.
  • 2. The next step is to apply for a Swedish Institute scholarship between the period 8-18 February 2021.

What this scholarship includes?

This scholarship covers:

  1. Study expenses: paid directly from the Swedish Institute to the Swedish University.
  2. Living costs: 10.000 SEK / month.
  3. Travel Scholarship *: 15,000 SEK.
  4. Sickness and accident insurance.

United Arab Emirates University Scholarships for Masters and PhD studies 2021 (fully funded)

Membership in the Swedish Institute for Global Future Leaders network:

  • (NFGL) – a platform to develop professionally and build your own network in Sweden.
  • Membership in the Swedish Institute’s is looking for continuing communication and professional development in the future.
  • The travel grant is paid for one time during the full study period.

United Nations Volunteer Program 2021 (fully funded)

This scholarship does not include:

  • Additional scholarships for family members.
  • Registration costs at the university.

Duration of the scholarship:

  • The scholarship is intended for studying a full-time master’s program of one or two years duration, and is only awarded to study programs beginning in the fall semester.
  • The scholarship is available for one academic year (two semesters) at a time.
  • It will be extended to programs that require a longer period of time than two semesters, after proving that the student has passed the subject tests.
  • It is not possible to change or extend the duration of the established scholarship, or to change the study program for a different master’s program than previously awarded.

Selection Criteria:

Professional Experience:

You must have completed at least 3000 hours of work, which must be supported by papers from the employer (s).

University admission:

The scholarship is intended for those who followed the university admission steps in Swedish universities, paid the costs of study, and was accepted into one of the appropriate master’s specializations by a deadline of April 9, 2021.

The UPG Program in USA 2021 for International Students

Leadership experience :

You must have proven leadership experience from your current or previous employer.

Country of domicile:

You must be a citizen of one of the countries covered by the scholarship program, but you do not need to be a resident of the country at the time of application.

Other criteria:

There are also some conditions for holders of dual nationalities, or those who have previously resided and studied in Sweden, and other criteria.

Who are we looking for?

  1. The Swedish Institute’s Scholarship Program for Global Professionals aims to develop future leaders who will contribute to the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
  2. The scholarship is funded by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and administered by the Swedish Institute.
  3. The program provides a unique opportunity for academics with professional experience to develop professionally and academically.

Submission steps:

  • Submit an application to register for the master’s program in period between (16 October 2020 to 15 January 2021).
  • Submit an application for the Swedish Institute’s scholarship for global professionals from (February 8, 2021 to February 18, 2021).
  • Obtaining a decision / notification of the University Admissions Office on April 9, 2021 of the application result.
  • Announcement of the 600 recipients of the Swedish Institute scholarship on April 28, 2021.
