Maastricht University is now accepting applications for the Maastricht Excellence Scholarships 2021 in Netherlands.

Those Scholarships for International Students is available for Master’s degree programs.

Details of Maastricht University Scholarships in Netherlands:

  • Host country: Netherlands.

  • Study level: Master’s degree.

Funding provided in Maastricht University Scholarships:

Students admitted to the Maastricht University Scholarships will receive:

  • Living expenses: € 12,350 (13 months) or € 23,750 (25 months).
  • Health and liability insurance: € 700.
  • Visa application costs: € 171.
  • Tuition fees: 13,800 Euros; € 15,500 or € 16,800 depending on the tuition fee for the study program.
  • Pre-academic training costs: 695 euros.

Who is eligible?

All candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • You hold the nationality of a country outside the EU / EEA, Switzerland or Suriname and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for Netherlands.
  • You do not hold dual citizenship from an EU / EEA country.
  • You have applied for admission to a full-time Master’s program at Maastricht University for the 2021-2022 academic year.
  • List of UM MA programs participating in this scholarship program.
  • You meet the specific entry requirements for the UM Master program you are applying to.
  • You have never participated in a degree-seeking higher education program in the Netherlands.
  • Students who have completed exchange programs in the Netherlands are welcome to apply.
  • Are not over 35 years old on September 1, 2021.
  • You have obtained excellent results during your previous education programs, as evidenced by the most recent transcript of your scores or a certified Academic Excellence if several applicants are equally eligible, UM will give preference to applicants whose academic transcript or letter of approved academic excellence proves to be among the best 5% of applicants for the 2021-2022 scholarship program.

Duration of the UM -High Potential:

  • Scholarship 13 months for a one-year master’s.
  • Program 25 months for a two-year master’s program.

Available majors: Programs are awarded to study a full-time master’s degree program in any subject offered by the university, namely:

  1. Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences.
  2. Faculty of Law.
  3. Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences.
  4. Faculty of Science and Engineering.
  5. Faculty of Psychology & Neuroscience.
  6. School of Business and Economics.
