Eligibility Criteria of the KAIST University Scholarship 2023:

  • The applicant must be an international student and not a citizen of Korea.
  • For a master’s degree program, the applicant must have a bachelor’s degree or expect to have a bachelor’s degree at the time of enrollment.
  • For a Ph.D. degree, the applicant must have a master’s degree or expect to have a master’s degree at the time of enrollment in KAIST.
  • Bachelor’s degree must be equivalent to a Korean bachelor’s degree (4 years of bachelor’s).
  • If the applicant fulfills any one requirement from these two he/she is eligible.

How to Apply for South Korean KAIST Scholarships?

(1) Fill out the online application form with the required information.

(2) Upload those documents  Online

  • High school / University Transcript
  • English Proficiency Test Report
  • Standardized Official Test Score Report
  • Passport or National ID Copy
  • Statement of Financial Resources
  • Honors and Awards (Optional)
  • One recommendation letter

(3) The applicant must pay the application fee is USD 80 or KRW 80,000. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer after writing the application form online.

(4) Additional charges (i.e. bank charges) should be covered by the applicants.

(5) Please note that the application fee is non-refundable and you cannot modify the application form once you pay the fee
