About the Global UGRAD Scholarship:

The Global University Exchange Program (also known as the UGRAD Global Program) offers one-semester scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students from around the world for full-time study without a degree as well as community service, professional development, and cultural enrichment. He directs global education in the world on behalf of the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Our aims:

Global UGRAD graduates receive Fulbright scholarships for graduate studies, access to prestigious international internships and jobs, and work in business and government in their home countries.

Program Goals:

Global UGRAD Scholarship Details:

  1. Submission start date: January 4, 2021.
  2. Application deadline: February 28, 2021.
  3. Host University: Selected participants do not choose the host institution and will be placed in the most appropriate institution based on students’ academic interests.
  4. Host organization: World Learning
  5. Study level: One semester for bachelor’s degree.
  6. The scholarship can be taken in the USA.

Countries available for application: Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Algeria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Mauritania.

Funding provided under the Global UGRAD Program Scholarship

This program is sponsored by the US State Department and funded by the US government and managed by World Learning Foundation, so the following funding will be provided:

  • Costs of international aviation.
  • Education fees.
  • Accommodation and meals.
  • Health and accident insurance.
  • Monthly salary.
  • And book expenses.

Conditions for applying to the Global UGRAD Program:

  • The applicant must be over 18 years old.
  • A citizen of one of the countries eligible to participate in the Global UGRAD program, and currently residing in that country.
  • An undergraduate student who has at least one semester remaining at his university after completing the Global UGRAD program.
  • Completed secondary education in his home country.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (English language training is available for some finalists).
  • The ability to start studying in the United States in August 2021 or January 2022 (participation in the program cannot be postponed for a later time).
  • Eligible for a United States Student Exchange (J-1) visa required for the program.
  • He is authorized to participate in the program by a doctor.
  • Commitment to return to the home country after completing the program.

Documents required to apply to the UGRAD Global Program

  • A copy of your passport or government-issued ID card.
  • Copy of certificates (official documents must be in English and show the student’s academic performance in previous years at the university.
  • First-year students at the university must attach a copy of a copy of their high school diploma and a letter of proof of enrollment from the current university).

  • You will be required to write a personal essay explaining your reasons for applying for the scholarship and what are the advantages that make you better than others.
