APU University Fully Funded Scholarships for Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD studies in Japan
A fully funded scholarship from the Japanese government MEXT
2020 to study baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degrees in all disciplines at
APU in Japan Within the framework of the scholarships, Japanese wisdom offers a
fully-funded MEXT scholarship 2020 pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate
studies in all majors available at APU. This scholarship is intended for all
international students of all nationalities around the world.

Funding from the MEXT Scholarship 2020
The MEXT Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Scholarships is a fully funded scholarship for international students and will cover most of the student’s expenses.
-100% of the tuition fee (covered by APU Scholarship Tuition Reduction)
-144,000 JPY per month for living expenses (amount is subject to change)
Economy class for air travel between the home country and APU at the start and end of the program

It provides scholarships to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s (MS / M.Phil) and PhD degrees in all fields.
Eligibility Criteria for the MEXT Scholarship 2020:
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to avail of this scholarship for their studies at APU.
-Intend to study abroad in Japan from abroad.
– do not have Japanese citizenship and are a citizen of a -country that has diplomatic relations with Japan.
-Born on or after April 2, 1986.
Academic requirements in the MEXT Scholarship 2020:
Undergraduate students / Undergraduates:
Applicants who have completed 12 years of school education in countries other than Japan.
Master’s students:
Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for master’s degree programs.
PhD students:
Applicants holding a master’s degree are eligible to apply for doctoral degree programs

The last date to apply for the Japanese Government Scholarship is on November 18, 2020.
How to apply for the MEXT Japanese Government Scholarships 2020:
Students must apply directly to the university and fill out the application form with the following procedure listed below:

Sign up for the APU Admission Portal by creating an account.
Fill out the online application form, upload and send all required documents.
Upload to the online application system by the specified deadline.
Documents required to apply for the MEXT Scholarship 2020:

-Complete the online application form.
-The diploma of the highest degree verification must be -uploaded with official stamps.
-Undergraduate program applicants: 12 years of education (or higher).
-Master’s program applicants: Bachelor’s degree diploma (or higher).
-Ph.D. program providers: Diploma, Master’s degree (or higher).

Two letters of recommendation:
Recommendation letters must be written by teachers / advisors / employers for applicants who are able to assess your academic performance and research.
Curriculum vitae.
Study plan / statement of purpose.
The study plan is written in English.
The primary content should include application motivation, educational / research background, and future study at APU.
English Language Proficiency Document:
An English Proficiency Test score equivalent to B2 or higher on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale (such as TOEFL iBT 72 or higher, IELTS 5.5 or higher).
Or those students whose English language institute can submit an English language proficiency certificate from their home university and are exempt from the language test.
Supervisor confirmation letter (for PhD students only)
Academic thesis or related publications (for PhD program applicants).
PhD applicants must provide a copy of the Master’s thesis or relevant academic publications.
