IREX Community Solutions Program 2024 Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for participation in the Community Solutions Program, applicants must meet certain eligibility requirements that have been outlined here.
Failure to fulfill any one or more of these criteria precludes their consideration by the committee that selects participants for consideration and review.
- On January 1, 2024, you were between 26-39 years of age, living and working in one of the following countries (listed below ).
- At least two years’ work experience as either full-time, part-time volunteer, or employee in community development.
- At the time of application, applicants demonstrated an advanced proficiency in written and spoken English, including writing skills.
- Between August and December 2024, applicants who do not hold permanent residency of either kind in America (i.e. permanent residents and citizen residents alike) but haven’t applied for permanent residency within three years can travel for four months under J-1 Visa rules to the U.S.
- Candidates participating in U.S. Government exchange programs must have fulfilled the two-year residency requirements after finishing training programs, returning home for at least that duration after having left America.
- If you are neither currently an IREX employee nor consultant – nor immediate family of one either of the latter or the immediate family member of either (which would include consultants).
- Eligible Countries are Africa includes Botswana, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya Liberia Malawi Mozambique Namibia Rwanda Sierra Leone South Sudan Sudan Tanzania Uganda Zambia and Zimbabwe are countries to which Botswana’s investments extend.
- East Asia and the Pacific: Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Fiji, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia Papua New Guinea Philippines Republic Marshall Islands Singapore Solomon Islands Thailand Timor Leste Vanuatu Vietnam are just a few countries where development projects could occur.

How to Apply for the IREX Community Solutions Program 2024?
The candidates have to apply online through the IREX online application system.
- Make sure to answer all the questions, especially the questions with a red sign.
- If you have no relevant answer simply write N/A. Don’t leave blanks.
- Write your answers in English except for the names and places (the names and places do not need to be translated into English, write them in the English alphabet).
