All the graduates can pursue their PhD in the field of science and technology under this international fully-funded scholarship opportunity in one of the world’s most academically advanced countries.
PhD training will be carried out in English at your chosen lab at A*STAR Research Institutes, NTU, NUS or SUTD.
Students will be supervised by distinguished and world-renowned researchers in these labs. Upon successful completion, students will be conferred a PhD degree by either NTU, NUS or SUTD.

Singapore International Graduate Award Benefits
The award provides support for up to 4 years of PhD studies, including:
- Tuition fees
- Monthly stipend of S$2,000, which will be increased to S$2,500 after the passing of the Qualifying Examination
- One-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500*
- One-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000*
Eligibility Criteria of Singapore International Graduate Award 2022:
- The applicants must be international students.
- The applicants must have completed the bachelor’s degree.
- The applicants must have excellent academic results.
- The applicant must be proficient in the English language.
- SINGA needs no specific certificate for English Language Proficiency as it can be assessed during the interview.
- However, English Language Certificate can be the requirement of the individual university.
- Singaporean nationals or the candidates who already have completed tertiary education in Singapore cannot apply.
- The applicants who wish to apply for master’s program are not eligible.
- Only the candidates who want to pursue their PhD in science and engineering are eligible.
- PhD courses for social sciences, humanities, economics etc. are not eligible.
Singapore International Graduate Award Application instructions
Eligible applicants who would like to apply for the scholarship must follow steps below to submit their applications.

- Upload required documents.
- Identification card or Passport.
- A recent passport-sized photo.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s academic transcripts (English translation).
- Bachelor’s Degree certificate(s) / scroll(s) or a letter of certification from your university.
- 2 recommendation reports (to be completed and submitted online by the referees).
- GRE / IELTS / TOEFL / SAT I & II / GATE results (Optional).
- You will be required to indicate your choices of supervisor in the application form.
- Do NOT mail any hard copy documents to SINGA Office.
- All necessary documents are to be submitted online.

How to Apply for Singapore International Graduate Award 2022?
- The candidates have to submit all the necessary documents online.
- The applicants have to select the research projects.
- The referees have to send the reference letters directly to SINGA.
- The application process will start once at least two reference letters will be received by SINGA.
- Softcopies of the required documents must be uploaded in the online application.
- Applicants who are applying through SINGA portal are not required to apply on university portals separately.
- Try to submit your application at least two weeks before the deadline.
- The applicants have to elaborate their research proposals in the application forms.
- The candidate can submit more than one or up to 3 research proposals.
- There is no need to contact the supervisor in order to apply for SINGA.
