About the University of (Roskilde):

Roskilde University is one of the universities in Denmark.

Public, established in 1972, the university is located in the city of Roskilde.

The university has more than 8000 students, the university awards bachelor’s, Master’s and doctorate degrees in many disciplines.

Roskilde University scholarship details:

  • Application deadline: January 15, 2021 (annually).
  • Host University: The University of Roskilde.
  • Study level: Master’s degree.
  • The scholarship can be taken in Denmark.

Funding provided in the Roskilde University Scholarship:

  • A limited number of Danish state tuition fee waivers and scholarships are offered for selected master’s programs to highly talented students who come from countries outside of the EU/EEA and are required to pay tuition fees at Roskilde University.
  • The tuition fee waivers and scholarships are only distributed once a year for the September entry.
  • The tuition fee waiver and scholarship has a maximum length of 22 months for programs that start in September.
  • The scholarship amounts to DKK 7,800 per month, and is meant to cover living expenses in Denmark.
  • Tuition fee waiver and scholarship students must follow the study plan and not be delayed in their studies in order to maintain the tuition fee waiver and scholarship.

Eligible Countries:

All countries outside the European Union are eligible. (United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Djibouti, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Comoros, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen) .

  • MA in Communication Studies and Cultural Encounters.
  • MA in Cultural Encounters and Communication Studies.
  • MA in International Public Administration and Policy.
  • MA in International Development Studies and Global Studies.
  • MSc in Mathematical Physical Modeling.
  • MA in Spatial and Society Designs.
  • MA in Scandinavian Urban Planning Studies.

Who can apply?

In order to be eligible to apply for a tuition fee waiver and scholarship, you must be a non-EU/EEA citizen that is required to pay tuition fees and apply to one of the master’s programs that offer scholarships.

Please note that being eligible to apply for a tuition fee waiver and scholarship does not guarantee that you will be awarded a tuition fee waiver and scholarship, as there is only a limited number.

Applicants are ranked based on their academic performance, motivational letter and work experience.

Family or social background is not taken into account.

Before each admission round, the university selects the specific master’s programs that may offer one or more tuition fee waivers and scholarships.

How to apply for the Roskilde University Scholarships?

You apply via the digital application system (DANS), which is open one month before the application deadline which now is open.

You can apply to master programs in English language if you are from non-European citizen or you can apply to masters programs in Danish language.
