About UPG Sustainability Leadership Program:
This program was launched in 2019 as 60 people from all over the world were trained as sustainability leaders.
The program curriculum includes training in project management, stakeholder engagement, communications, and digital communications.
Sustainability leaders also explore how sustainability relates to economics, politics, law, culture, technology, education.
UPG believes that sustainability encompasses to our societies for a long time such as:
- Education, health, jobs, gender equality, sustainable consumption and production.
- UPG is a community that encourages people and enables them to participate in making the world a better place.
- UPG works to raise awareness, strengthen belief, facilitate cooperation, and strengthen society.
- UPG uses publications, projects, and events to fulfill its mission.
Our aims is to help motivated individuals to build a positive future to do so in a positive way.
Specifically, UPG’s activities are built on four pillars:
- Raising awareness.
- Strengthen faith.
- Facilitate cooperation.
- Community care.
The world is changing rapidly and it is important that individuals be empowered in the shape of our future societies.
Its operation is based on the four pillars
- Awareness of “it is possible”.
- Faith “yes we can”.
- Collaboration “Let’s work together”.
- Society “you are not alone”.
Nationalities who can apply for the scholarship:
The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Djibouti, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Comoros, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen.

The program includes the following specializations:

Standards and conditions:
- You must demonstrate strong motivation to become UPG’s sustainability.
- You should be between 18-35 years old by October 1, 2021.
Benefits:
- All UPG sustainability leaders will be certified and 60 of them will have the opportunity to attend a one-week supplemental training at the Hurricane Island Science and Leadership Center in USA.
- UPG’s sustainability leaders are organizing a secondary wave of mini-training sessions within their communities.
Selection criteria:
- UPG is looking for young people from different walks of life and from different regions of the world.
- From experienced professionals to freshly graduated students.
When selecting the winning candidates, four factors are taken into consideration:
- Your profile – this helps UPG strive for diversity.
- Your motivation.
- Your capabilities.
- Potential impact.
How to apply to the UPG Program?
- Fill out the online form.
- Write your letter of motivation on the form.
- Submit your request.
Required documents:
- Passport.
- Photograph.
- Application form.
- A statement of purpose describing your motivation for taking this training.
- Answer the following question:
- Why do you want to be a development leader with UPG?
